Insecurity continues to affect children, schools, families, and communities across Nigeria, disrupting learning, movement, safety, and childhood itself. How can we leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to improve early warning systems, protect children, strengthen school safety, and support safer communities?
Climate Resilience and Food Security
Climate change is affecting food production, livelihoods, and children’s nutrition through flooding, drought, changing rainfall patterns, and rising food costs. How can technology help communities adapt, support smallholder farmers, reduce food waste, and ensure that every child has access to nutritious food?

STEP 2
Shortlisted Applicants or teams are notified and invited for a preliminary interview by August 31, 2025.
STEP 3
10 outstanding Applicants will be invited to the Demo Day to pitch their ideas to our Jury comprising visionary Founders, Investors and tech experts.

ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
Kids Innovation Challenge 2026 is an initiative of The Destiny Trust’s Kids Innovation Hub to empower underrepresented children with technology and arts skills and support them to develop their innovative ideas. The challenge offers young innovators an amazing opportunity to compete with others and get on a pathway to greatness with mentoring and further learning opportunities.
